1. About Us
The Christmas Lights Experts is a family-owned Christmas light installation business based in Plano, Texas. We provide custom Christmas light installation, tree wrapping, garland, wreath installation, HOA community lighting, and commercial holiday lighting services throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area.
2. Services We Provide
We offer comprehensive holiday lighting services including but not limited to:
- Custom C9 LED roofline installation
- Tree wrapping (oak, palm, crepe myrtle, magnolia, and other species)
- Wreath and garland installation
- Landscape and pathway lighting
- HOA community and commercial property holiday lighting
- Free in-season service calls (for our installations)
- January takedown and year-round storage
3. Quotes & Pricing
Quotes are free, detailed, and have no obligation. The quoted price is the final price — we don't add hidden fees, fuel surcharges, or surprise charges. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Pricing may change for materially different scope (you added more trees, expanded the design, etc.).
4. Scheduling & Cancellation
- Booking: Confirmed once you accept the quote and any required deposit is paid.
- Installation window: Typically late October through early December based on demand and weather.
- Weather delays: We may reschedule installations during severe weather. We'll communicate proactively.
- Customer cancellation: Cancellations more than 14 days before scheduled install are fully refundable. Cancellations within 14 days may incur a fee covering materials already purchased.
- Our cancellation: If we cancel for any reason (which is rare), you receive a full refund.
5. Property Access & Cooperation
You agree to:
- Provide access to your property at the scheduled time
- Inform us of any unique property concerns (electrical issues, fragile landscape, pets, etc.)
- Ensure power outlets are accessible and working at the planned light locations
- Notify us of any HOA requirements specific to your community
6. Warranty
We provide a lifetime warranty on all LED lights we install, contingent on the following:
- You maintain annual service with us (we own and store the lights between seasons)
- Damage from severe weather, vandalism, or third-party interference may not be covered
- Warranty covers normal use and bulb failure, not damage from outside forces
If we discontinue service in your area or you cancel service permanently, the warranty terminates.
7. Free In-Season Service Calls
If anything goes wrong with your display during the holiday season (typically through early January), we'll come back and fix it at no charge. This includes bulb failures, dark sections, timer issues, and minor weather damage. Service calls are scheduled based on availability, typically within 1-3 business days.
8. Insurance & Safety
We are fully insured with general liability and workers compensation coverage. Our crews are direct employees (not subcontractors), background-checked, branded, and trained in safe ladder and harness work. We do not penetrate your roof, gutters, or fascia — all attachment is non-damaging.
9. Property Damage
If our work causes damage to your property (which is extremely rare due to our methods), notify us immediately and we'll work with you to repair or replace what was damaged. Our insurance covers professional accidents.
10. Photography & Marketing
We may photograph completed installations and use those photos in our marketing (website, social media, ads). Photos do not include any identifying address or personal information. If you prefer your home not be photographed for marketing purposes, please let us know in writing before installation — we'll happily honor this request.
11. Payment
Standard residential payment terms:
- Some installations may require a deposit upon booking
- Full payment is typically due upon completion of installation
- We accept credit card, debit card, ACH transfer, and check
- HOA and commercial accounts may have different terms detailed in their service agreements
12. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as missed events, lost business, or other downstream impacts.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be resolved in Collin County, Texas courts.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
